Italian cheese that is thick, buttery-rich, delicately sweet and velvety, ivory-colored cheese produced from cow's milk. It is traditionally used for desserts such as Tiramisu, Red Velvet Cake but it also adds a unique flavor to Risotto or your favorite pizza. Mascarpone Cheese also has lighter taste than cream cheese, and it is softer too.
One of those Cream Cheese Frosting recipes that use Mascarpone (credits to Joy of Baking) :
227g Cream Cheese
227g Mascarpone Cheese
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 cup of Icing Sugar
1 1/2 cup (360ml) Heavy Whipping Cream
