EGG SEPARATOR

Many recipes call for egg white without the yolk. Separating eggs can be a messy job, unless you have the right kind of kitchen utensil. The one that we have in Pandan is practically useful for all bakers. It is simple, just crack the egg and place in the red space and you will get it separately without you even notice.  It is made of plastic and the most importantly hygiene.

EGG BEATER (WHISK)

Another name for egg beater is whisk. A whisk is a cooking utensil that was used since last generation and a must item to have in our kitchen. Whisk is used in food preparation to blend ingredients or to incorporate air into a mixture where the process is known as whisking or whipping.

Most of the whisk in the market consist of a long, narrow handle with a series of wire loops joined at the end. The wires are usually metal but some are plastic and from bamboo too!

Most frequent use color in baking are  water-based liquid that comes in red, blue, green and yellow. This type of food coloring works pretty well for most purposes. It get creative with cake batter colors and even add it to drinks to make things a little more “interesting” . TOASTED COCONUT

Toasted coconut adds flavor to many foods such as spreads and Asian dishes as well as making an attractive topping for many desserts. Toasted coconut is nothing but shredded coconut or dessicated coconut that has been briefly toasted to bring out its flavor. It can be used in pies and cookies as well as for flavoring ice cream. Pandan has ready toasted coconut for baking usage.

SHORTERNING (LELEMAK SAYURAN)

What is shortening?

In Pandan, we are only selling vegetable shortening which supplied by Lam Soon Edible Oils and the most importantly it is halal. Shortening is a cooking fat and of course we choose to sell product that is produced from vegetable oils

Shortening is used as an ingredient in many baked goods to "shorten" the amount of flour required, which makes breads, pastries and other baked goods tender. When used in making cookies, if shortening is used instead of butter, the cookie will have a fluffier texture. Using butter increases the amount of water, since most shortening does not contain water, resulting in a thinner dough and thus a thinner cookie. Therefore, a common procedure is to use half butter and half shortening to provide both texture and taste to the cookie.  When storing, shortening can be kept in an airtight container at room temperature for approximately 12 months.
